Rewriting the Script, Reclaiming Our Stories

Our intention is to create a safe space for women to process their thoughts, emotions, and the impact of narratives about women. How the treatment and expectations of women have impacted them and their view of womanhood.

We want to curate a therapeutic and eventful experience, using spoken word, music, reflective writing, and breaking the fourth wall.

The objective is for women to feel safe to express, release and leave lighter, reflective, and motivated to be the women The CREATOR created them to be; shed who systems tell them they are, not based on a rebellious reaction to the system; and to just be...women.

Run of Show

Doors Open, Check In, & Gallery Walk

Doors Open, and audience members have the opportunity to grab their seats, walk around to the different prompts hung on the wall, and write their responses while listening to some tunes.

ACT ONE

1:30 PM - 2:30 PM

Performances, Gallery shares, and Mini Panel.

INTERMISSION

2:30 PM - 2:40 PM

Gallery Walk

Use the restroom, stretch those legs, and walk over to the new prompts around the room.

Take time to journal or write a note on your phone about your experience.
